We Forgive You, However…
Religion says “we forgive you” but there must be a consequence. You can’t just walk away repentive… you must be punished.
What religious people fail to comprehend is that sin carries with it its own consequence of guilt, shame and self-destruction. No human persecution could ever be greater. To do so would only result in further isolation from their reconciliation to God.
Unfortunately, many broken people have walked away from God because of religion; never realizing that true Christianity is about what Jesus said, and not about WWJD.
