God, Me & the Zone
I find myself more and more wanting to play Guitar Hero. The truth is, I find that when I’m playing and I let go of all the distractions around me, I get zoned. Really though, it feels like a gift from God playing through my fingers and into the rhythm on the sound. I’m not play the game anymore… I’m experiencing relationship time with God.

A Lesson of Dew'ing
Today my son asked me for something to drink. His usual request would be for me to give him something like flavored water but, we were out. So I said, “You can have a bit of my Mountain Dew.” He said ok. I grabbed the bottle and poured some in his cup. He drank a little and said, “mmm - Dad? Can my brother have a cup of it too?” I replied, “Why don’t you just...

Well, since my last post, things have gotten a little weird. Not just weird, but sad. I guess b/c my last post mentioned Obama, the Christian community freaked out. After posting, I immediately received an im with...

Do you consider the Bible your lifeline? What if it was suddenly outlawed? Is the Word of God also written on the tablet of your heart? ( 2 Corinthians 3:3 )

Great Examples of Faith
Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.
Examples:
Abel’s offering to God; Enoch was taken up to...

Random Outburst: #101
Some churches like to scare their members about robbing God ( Malachi 3:10 )
Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How do we rob you?’ “In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse, the whole nation of you, because you are robbing me.
And yet their leaders ignore their own violations against God? ( Malachi 2:8,9 )
But you have turned from the way and by...

Please Don't Mortgage America
In this economic downturn, let’s remember now what happened when during the days of Nehemiah a famine came over their land:
“We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards and our homes to get grain during the famine.” Still others were saying, “We have had to borrow money to pay the king’s tax on our fields and vineyards. Although we are of the same flesh and blood as...
No + or - Can Be = to It
“Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the ages. Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”
“I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God...

Go Forward, Don't Look Back
“Flee for your lives! Don’t look back, and don’t stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!”
Then the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the LORD out of the heavens. Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, including all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land. But Lot’s wife...

Do You Buy Like Jesus?
Marilyn Mock said she was acting on instinct on Saturday when she decided to buy a house she had never seen for a woman she had never met. Mock was at the forclosure auction to help her 27-year-old son bid on a house when she struck up a conversation with Orr, who was crying about losing her home.

YOU! The Only House for God
“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.
From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the...

The Origin of Luke 4:18-19
The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor…
( cont. from Isaiah 61:1-3 ) … and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and...
Is It Too Late to Apologize?
Have you ever been kicked to the curb “banned” by a church or a pastor because of an act of sin? Well, one pastor would like to apologize for it. I would like to personally tell this pastor, “Thank You!”

Walking With Psalm 109
But you, O Sovereign LORD, deal well with me for your name’s sake; out of the goodness of your love, deliver me. For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me. I fade away like an evening shadow; I am shaken off like a locust. My knees give way from fasting; my body is thin and gaunt. I am an object of scorn to my accusers; when they see me, they shake their heads. (Psalm...
The Truth Can Be Divisive
“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her motherinlaw’ — a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.” (Matthew 10:34-36)
Does this scripture worry you about your family? What do...
We Forgive You, However...
Religion says “we forgive you” but there must be a consequence. You can’t just walk away repentive… you must be punished.
What religious people fail to comprehend is that sin carries with it its own consequence of guilt, shame and self-destruction. No human persecution could ever be greater. To do so would only result in further isolation from their reconciliation to God.
Unfortunately, many...
